Biography
Tracey Michelle Lucas is a Trinidadian born songwriter/singer who has only just begun her journey into the music industry.
What started as a catchy melody on the way to a roti shop one afternoon, turned into her first full-fledged soca song “Burning Up” for the Carnival 2009 season. The song was inspired by her 4 year absence from Carnival and her excitement to participate in her favorite part of Carnival... Jouvert.
Tracey has always held an interest in music, but has only now embraced it. She is currently developing her talents not only as a singer and performer, but as a songwriter. Her interests lie in genres including, but not limited to: Soca, Alternative Rock, R&B, Neo-Soul, Pop, and Reggae. She claims however, that for the most part, she would be hard-pressed to fit her music into any one genre.
She currently works in the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Education, a field in which another of her passion lies, and hopes that she can find a happy medium between the two.
She is not sure where the music will take her, but she is willing to find out, and invites you to come along for the journey...
